If the Mauritian business community relied on the Government to provide any information about cyber threats and measures to be taken to protect themselves, many businesses would have been down now. Fortunately the business community is more proactive and very well aware of what is happening in the cyber world than the Government itself. More so we have a Minister who does not understand anything on IT. Finally the biometric data is stored exclusively on the NID card.<br>Now the Government is bringing amendments to the National Identity Card Act to allow reading card data by both public and private agencies as may be determined by the Ministry of Technology, Communication and<br>Innovation according to set criteria. <br>SO BE PREPARED THAT YOUR BIOMETRIC DATA WILL BE READ ON CARD READERS BY BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE AGENCIES.
